PURPOSE:To detect the granulation in an early stage by providing a memory for storing simple pattern data of an achromatic color in a control part, and printing a simple pattern of an achromatic color to a recording body by a recording unit in accordance with a granularity confirming instruction. CONSTITUTION:In a control part 20, a memory 200 for storing simple pattern data of an achromatic color is provided, and in accordance with a granularity confirming instruction, a simple pattern of an achromatic color is printed to a recording body PP by a recording unit 10. The simple pattern of an achromatic color is the most strict in its granular subjective evaluation, and the granulation can be detected in an early stage, therefore, by printing the simple pattern of an achromatic color, the granulation can be detected at the time point when granularity starts to deteriorate in an inconspicuous level at the time of printing a regular natural picture, and it is possible to cope therewith with a timewise allowance. |
