The construction has a mechanical coupling device for connection with a towing vehicle, a nose wheel (5), a running brake and a hand brake. The chassis construction is a self-supporting shell (1), formed from a sandwich of fibre-reinforced plastic skin and a foam or honeycomb core together, if necessary with reinforcements forming part of the structure. In wheel boxes (2), by means of a metal sub-frame, directly the axles, wheels (7), brake system and spring shock absorbing system are fixed. In a reinforced and preformed front side, the mechanical coupling device, the nose wheel, the running brake and the hand brake are fixed.
