FIELD: methods for treatment of metal surface prior to application of coating; may be used, for instance, before application of solid wear-resistant coatings from titanium nitrile or carbonitrile. SUBSTANCE: method includes irradiation of metal surface with laser. In this case irradiation is effected first, with Nd-YAG laser of the Nd:YAG type, and then with carbon dioxide laser.
