FIELD: separation of dispersed particles and toxic admixtures from gases using liquid as separating agent. SUBSTANCE: separator has housing 1 where gas distributing grid 8 and drip pan 9 are mounted. Under-grid space of separator is filled with absorbing liquid to required initial level. Arranged in bin portion of housing 1 is compensating device 10 which includes flexible chamber 11 with branch pipe 12 equipped with reversible valve 13 for delivery and discharge of fluid medium, compressed air for example. For automatic control of process, separator is provided with panel 14, liquid level sensor 15 and concentration meter 18. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation. 1 dwg øøø1
