FIELD: sports equipment. SUBSTANCE: billiard table has wooden table frame and legs, sectional table top, sides provided with rubberized profile and pockets. Table top is composed of separate plates which are assembled to define required playing field. Plates are made from high-density composite material having polymeric matrix and hard wood and are provided with retaining members allowing table top to be assembled so that planeness deviation does not exceed 100 micron. Outer side ends of plates are provided with members allowing table sides to be attached to table top. Retaining and attachment members are pressed into plates in the process of manufacture.
