The cable formation comprises part cables (6) in each of the casing-shaped parts. Near the outer ends of the parts are connectors (8), which extend in a sealed manner through apertures in the parts. Connecting cables (17) have at both free outer ends connectors which work in conjunction with the connectors in the parts. The connectors in the parts have fixture devices for the connectors of the connecting cables (17). To the fixture devices are connected covering devices (10). The connectors in the parts are accommodated in a drum (13) fitted in the parts. Between the drum and the parts are sealing devices (14).
