PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate adjusting of ink in a printer using CTP(computer-to-plate) technology. SOLUTION: A raster image processor that develops image data described by a page description language to raster data is built in a computer 3. A PS plate is exposed to a laser beam by a digital plate forming device 1 based on the developed raster data and printing is performed by a printer 2. A statistical characteristic or a geometric characteristic of net point data is analyzed based on the data described by PDL of the raster image processor or developed raster data, then a quantity of ink supplied from an ink vessel provided to the printer 2 is calculated. The ink is supplied to the PS plate set to a printer drum via an ink flow outlet based on the calculated quantity of the ink. |
