The carrier for bottles is composed of a set of identical parts (2) surrounded by a film envelope (3) which joins them together by thermo-retraction. A tearable band (5) stuck to the film envelope has two tearing tabs (9a,9b). The two tearing tabs are delimited in one of the envelope faces (6) by a cut-out (7). The cut-out has the shape of an I whose vertical bar (7a) extends from either side the tearing band and whose horizontal bars (7b) are located either side this band. It is made in the envelope and the band and in a gripping cavity (11) located between the two parts of the set.
