Inflatable item, for example a beach bed, shaped like a flexible, thin-walled plane from synthetic material, e.g. from PVC. It is made up of a central part (21) with along its contours at least one inflated part separated by means of one or more heat seals (23, 25); whereby the inflated parts (23, 25) form a boxed-in area. The inflated part (23, 25) is fitted along at least one contour part of the boxed-in area with a part (2) that is raised in relation to the rest of the boxed-in area. With an item of this shape it is possible for the user to for example make himself comforable on a sandy surface and at the same time protect himself and any things he has brought along with him from any sand that gets blown around. Furthermore it is possible if so desired to fix a beach towel (7) or something similar in the inflatable item. <IMAGE> |
