A process for the preparation of compounds of formula I where R1, R2, R3, m, n and q are as defined herein; which comprises the steps of (a)reacting a compound of formula III with a chiral acid in an organic solvent to form a salt of a compound of formula I and (b) treating the salt of a compound of formula I with an aqueous base to obtain the compounds of formula I. Compounds of formula I are intermediates useful in the preparation of protein kinase inhibitors. |
