PURPOSE:To surely clean an optical member with a small number of parts by providing a cleaning member which cleans the light exiting surface of the optical member opposed to the surface of a photosensitive body and a discharge wire at the same time. CONSTITUTION:The discharge wire 431 and the optical member 32 are arranged close to each other near the surface of the photosensitive body, and the cleaning member K which cleans the light exiting surface of the optical member 32 opposed to the surface of the photosensitive body and the discharge wire 431 at the same time is arranged in the stretching direction of the discharge wire 431 so that it can move in parallel. It is desirable that the cleaning member K is provided with a member for cleaning the inner surface of the cover 430 of an electrostatic charger 43 at the same time in the case of cleaning the light exiting surface of the optical member 32 and the discharge wire 431 by the member K. Therefore, the cleaning member K for cleaning the discharge wire 431 is used also as the cleaning member K for cleaning the optical member 32, so that the number of parts is reduced, the device is made small size and light weight, and production cost is reduced. Furthermore, the optical member 32 is surely cleaned. |
