PURPOSE:To obtain horizontal rotting flow at the same time as heating and attain the separation of inclusion by providing plural series of shifting magnetic field generating coils at the upper and lower parts surrounding a tundish and making frequency and/or current in the coils at the upper series and the lower series changeable. CONSTITUTION:At the upper and lower parts on the outer periphery of a tundish 1, plural series of the coils 3 are independently arranged and the horizontal rotating flow 6 is applied to molten steel 4 in the tundish 1 and inclusions are separated and also, the molten metal can be held to the prescribed molten steel temp. Even if the upper and the lower coils 3 are energized at the same time, the vertical reversing flow is not developed by heating. |
