<p>The display has 3 switched colour filters, each having a pair of cholesteric filters (11,15), a pair of quarter wavelength plates (12,14) and a liquid crystal display cell (13) with segmental electrodes. The filters correspond to different colours and are positioned in series along the light path. A matrix of micro lenses, holographic lenses, Fresnel lenses, or graded index lenses may be positioned in front of each filter, the display used as an insert for a display projector, or as a direct view display.</p> |
