<p>Benzodiazepine derivatives of formula (I) wherein R2 is alkyl or cycloalkyl-alkyl when R4 is hydrogen, or R2 is a variety of specified groups when R4 is alkyl, halogen or dialkylamino, are useful as cholecystokinin antagonists.</p>
