<p>The present invention refers to a biomembrane suitable for use in substitution, reconstruction or regeneration of human or animal organs or tissues which comprises the polymerization product of natural latex as its main constituent. The invention is also related to a substitute material for human or anima organs and tissues and to a support for the growth of microorganisms and cells which contain a biomembrane as described above.</p>
