<p>A pump control system comprises a fluid precipitation sensing means (10, 12, 14), a switching means (32, 34, 36, 42) adapted to switch off the pump in response to a signal from the sensing means (10, 12, 14) and a regulating means (48) provided for exhausting fluid from the sensing means (10, 12, 14).
