Digital data transmission method

The method involves feeding digital information or data in the form of light pulses in an optical fibre network by an optical transmitter of a transceiver. Each connected transceiver has an optical transmitter (2) and an optical receiver (1). Each transceiver which receives light pulses operates as coupled oscillators and transmits reflected light pulses dependent on the received light pulse in the same optical fibre. Preferably, the transmitter of the receiving transceiver sends only during rest time light pulses into the network.
