A method for performing a residual time and a midway score of a television having a video accompaniment device displays a midway score at a predetermined interval, has various selection menus. If the user selects a song number, the microcomputer(28) selects a corresponding song among many song stored in a memory, and counts a total song time. After this, the microcomputer(28) displays the counted song time as a mark by using on-screen display signal, successively displays a song progress time while performing a video accompaniment function, marks a score until the progressed time, and displays a corresponding score.
