The parking system has at least two platforms, which are arranged one above another, and whose entrance ends can be raised. The lower platform has two sections (9,10) which can pivot relative to one another about a transverse axis. A support (11) is attached to the upper platform (6), and engages with the section (9) of the lower platform that faces away from the entrance (3). A further support (12) is connected to the upper platform and engages with the section (10) of the lower platform that faces towards the entrance. The further support is arranged at the end (14) of this section that is remote from the pivot axis.
