Rear door for car-boot

The door (3) has articulated link pair assemblies (5) which can move backwards from a closed position to an open position. During the opening motion of the door, the links execute a lifting motion that overlays a sliding motion. In the closed position, the rear door covers the car-boot (2) and in an open position it stays at a plane which is parallel to the closing plane and still covers a section (6) of the open car-boot. Each link assembly is formed as a four-link assembly, forming a parallelogram. The link assembly may have an accommodating implement (7) e.g. a warning triangle so as to be visible from a car passing over.
