<p>PURPOSE:To maintain a working region in the healthful space by providing a single-pole ionizer to the blowout of an air conditioner and ionizing smoke and fine particles contained in air by unipolar ions generated therefrom, and collecting the ionized smoke and fine particles to the counter electrode of the single-pole ionizer. CONSTITUTION:In a personal air conditioner 1 arranged near to a desk or the like wherein air is sucked from a suction port 3 and air conditioning treatment is performed and thereafter the air is blown out from a blowout port 2, a single-pole ionizer 4, is provided in the blowout port 2 and on the other hand, the counter electrode 5 of the single-pole ionizer 4 is provided in the suction port 3. The circulation flow 11 of unipolar ions 6 generated in the single-pole ionizer are formed toward the counter electrode 5. Thereby smoke 9a of tobacco and fine particles in the air are ionized and these ionized fine particles are collected to the counter electrode 5. Further, smoke 9a of tobacco and the other fine particles are prevented from escaping to the adjacent working region. The fine particles collected to the counter electrode 5 are removed by cleaning the counter electrode 5 or replacing it with the fresh counter electrode 5.</p> |
