<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the occurrence of malfunction of fail safe control when a CPU forms a double system and to improve reliability on monitoring of abnormality of the CPU. CONSTITUTION:A source voltage AVDD for an A/D converter of a main CPU 1 is branched to a resistor 4 and a voltage AVM for monitoring being a branched voltage is applied on a sub CPU 2. The sub CPU 2 A/D-converts the voltage AVM for monitoring based on the source voltage AVDD for an A/D converter of the sub CPU 2 and a relation between the A/D-converted result and a standard value is determined. Based on the determined relation. The A/D-converted result for an analogue detecting signal by the sub CPU 2 is corrected. Based on the corrected result, the sub CPU 2 determines data (motor drive current), related to steering assist. The sub CPU 2 monitors operation of the main CPU 1 by comparing the so determined data related to steering assist with the data (motor drive current), related to steering assist, determined by the main CPU 1.</p> |
