Access shaft in street for sewers etc.

The access shaft is especially for drains carrying sewage. There is a manhole (5) at the top of the shaft. There is a tapering transition section (4) under the manhole and the middle and lower portions of the shaft are of eg. twice the inner diameter of the manhole. The shaft is made of eg. concrete rings (1) which fit together. Horizontal drainpipes (11) may connect with side branches in the walls of the shaft on two or more levels. There is a removable lid (13) just below the level of the upper side branches (10), allowing sewage to flow through without falling down to the level of the lower side branches.
