Profiled frame element for A-pillar used in car body

The profiled frame element is used especially for the A-pillar (5) in a vehicle bodywork. The extension at the top end of the pillar forms the side frame (3) at the edge of the roof. The frame (2) for the front edge of the roof extends from the side of the frame facing toward the inside of the car. The frame is held in place by a connecting piece (4). The A-pillar may be manufactured by taking a circular- or oval-section tube and pressing it between two dies to form a complicated solid shape.
