The pressure-surge absorbing fixture is for a surface panel (2) in a wall (3). The surface panel, or a retainer arranged on it, is located, with an overlap, on a surface of the wall element turned away from the pressure-surge absorbing side (4). The wall element as well as the surface panel and/or the retainer have mutually aligned through-running borings (6) which are pierced by a long fixture (7). The fixture has at least one flexibly expandable first section (8) which takes the surface element back to its original position after removal of the pressure-surge loading, as well as a second flexibly expandable plastics element (9) which is then effective when the elastic section has reached its end stop position under the effect of the pressure surge.
