Most grips are cylinder-shaped. Most grips surfaces are designed to have a uniform, straight surface and diameter. The hand surface and the fingers slip easily on a grip surface having such a design. Grip strips reduce slipping. When protuberances (A) are designed into or put on straight or wedge-shaped grip surfaces, increased hand grip is achieved. The protuberances (A) act as blockers. The rotation, traction and tilting moments are reduced or better assimilated by the hand. Finger grooves (b) that can be installed on the protuberances (A) or on the grip surfaces provide increased hand grip. The wedge shape (a) also enhances hand grip in comparison with straight surfaces. The above-mentioned descriptions are also relevant to wedge-shaped grip surfaces even if no protuberances (A) are additionally installed . |
