Multistage centrifugal rotary evaporator having two main evaporation surfaces

A new multistage centrifugal evaporator has a vessel (1) containing two evaporation surfaces (18, 19), turned by a common shaft (7). Each surface rises to an outer diameter. A product feed line (32) discharges near the base of the first stage evaporation surface (18). There is a concentrate passover (35) delivering from the maximum diameter of this surface, to the base of the following stage evaporation surface (19). There is a final concentrate offtake at its largest diameter. A hot steam supply (12) heats the evaporation surfaces externally, the condensate leaving by the drain (31). The vessel (1) has a vapour offtake (16). Evaporation surface basal diameters increase in stages. They are concentrically arranged on a common support (9), turned by the shaft (7).
