Echo suppressor device. Device for suppressing echo DSE received by the subscribers of a communications system, which is connected to the four-wire link part and which comprises two signal attenuators AS1 and AS2, which apply the attenuation determined by an attenuation control circuit CC, two voice detectors DV1 and DV2 that generate voice signals SV1 and SV2 with which the attenuation control circuit CC defines the communication states through which the conversation between subscribers passes; the attenuation applied being a function of the voice signals SV1 and SV2, the current state and the state prior to the current state of the call. At each instant, the attenuation control circuit CC receives and preserves the changes of level of the voice signals SV1 and SV2 originating from each of the voice detectors DV1, DV2. <IMAGE>
