Remote controllable subscriber unit

The subscriber unit includes a control unit (ST) which is connected to a memory (SP). The memory stores a pin number (PIN) which is assigned to a subscriber terminal (T1). When using the terminal for the first time each special function (RT,RUE,DA) is assigned to a pin number (PIN1,PIN2,PIN3) by the user. The pin numbers are stored in the memory. The calling subscriber enters at the subscriber unit instead of the pin number a different pin number for activating or deactivation the special function after a connection is set up to a called subscriber. The entered pin number is compared with the stored pin numbers by the control unit (ST) and the assigned special function is activated when the pin number matches.
