<p>A method of implementing a thermodynamic cycle by expanding (HPT) a gaseous working stream (30) to transform its energy into a useful form and produce an expanded gaseous stream (34), removing from the expanded gaseous stream an extracted stream (66), absorbing the extracted stream (66) into a lean stream (40) having a higher content of higher-boiling component than is contained in the extracted stream (66) to form a combined extracted/lean stream (68), at least partially condensing the combined extracted/lean stream (70), combining at least part of the combined extracted/lean stream (70) in condensed form with an oncoming working stream (29) including a rich stream having a lower content of higher-boiling component than is contained in the extracted stream (66) to provide a combined working stream (50), and heating the combined working stream (50) with external heat (31) to provide the gaseous working stream (30).</p> |
