Pneumatic valve for controlling air flow to esp. paint spray equipment

A valve seat forming part of a pneumatically-operated shut-off valve is held in the closed position by a spring. The valve is held within a housing and is opened by a cylinder/piston unit supplying a pressurised agent esp. compressed air. The cylinder supplying the compressed air for the piston (16) is formed as a bush inserted into the valve housing. Pressure is exerted through the intermediate space remaining between the cylinder (14) and housing (1). The pneumatic linkage and force is exerted on the end of that end of the valve away from the valve stem.
