METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATION OF MULTI-SCREEN

The method for generating a multi-screen containing a plurality of video information on one display screen and its suitable apparatus comprises the steps of sub-sampling video data provided on one screen to generate the reduced video data; storing the reduced video data at a partial area of memory having a memorial capacity corresponding to the original video data; reproducing the recorded video data at a multiple of recording areas which are not repeated one another; and extracting a plurality of reproduced video data recorded at the memory to thereby generate one video data, whereby effectuating a simple construction of hardware by utilizing a buffer memory storing pixel data and a path controller controlling a path between the buffer memory and the memory and so writing and extracting the data in a pixel unit.
