PURPOSE:To provide the title treatment apparatus capable of achieving the reduction of the load of an activated sludge process in secondary treatment, the enhancement of biodegradability and the removal of an offensive smell by properly treating the return flowing water in a sludge treatment process. CONSTITUTION:A return flowing water treatment apparatus is equipped with two or more stages of ozone contact tanks 16a, 16b, 16c receiving the return flowing water 11 discharged from a sludge treatment process to successively transfer the same and receiving the supply of ozone gas from an ozone generator 30 in an appropriate injection rate in a diffused state, a flocculant injection device 17a injecting a flocculant into the return flowing water in the selected stage of the ozone contact tanks and an ozone removing tank 18 growing flocs formed by the injection of the flocculant and continuing the oxidation due to residual ozone. The pollution component contained in the return flowing water is reduced by the oxidizing action accompanied by the diffusion of ozone gas and the removal of flocs formed by the injection of the flocculant. |
