PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorizing effect which is extremely effective to SH compds. and is highly safe by using a tencha (sun shaded, non-rolled tea) extract as an effective component of the compsn. for deodorization and compounding this compsn. with food, cosmetics, etc. CONSTITUTION:The leaves of the tencha to be used as tea of heaven (hydrangea tea) from ancient times in China are dried by the sunshine and such leaves are used as a raw material. This raw material is subjected to extraction by using water alone or an arbitrary mixture composed of the water and one or two kinds of polar solvents of lower alcohols, such as methanol and ethanol, and acetone, etc., by which the tencha extract to be the effective component of the deodorizing compsn. is obtd. This tencha extract is compounded with food, such as wheat gluten for removing oral smells, drinks, chewing gum, soybean juice, vegetable juice and hams, cosmetics, such as shampoos, cosmetic cream and soap, and tobacco, etc., by which the desired deodorizing effect is obtd. |
