The surgery device uses a laser source, providing a pulsed laser beam with a wavelength in the IR range, which is coupled to the eye tissue, with adjustment of the pulse energy, pulse length and/or pulse frequency. The latter is effected via a control (30) having a first device (38,48) ensuring that the laser pulse parameters lie within a defined range before the operation and a second device (34,36,40,42) which adjusts the parameters during the operation.
