The elastically deformable energy accumulators of the damping device are set on push-in guides. A predeterminable number of guides (32,33) are each connected through a connecting element (34) between each two of these guides. The relevant distance between them is the same. An ideal break point (35) is provided for each connecting element for separating off at least one of the two guides. At least a part of the guides has a pocket (38) for each connecting element provided on the side of the adjoining guide facing the pocket.
