The invention relates to a branch-shaped, peripherally adjustable sealing profile used as vitrification or stoppage sealing element made of rubber elastic extrudable and foamable material or materials functionally subdivided into the following profile areas: a base body (spreader), one or more sealing bodies formed on one of the sides of said base body, one or more stoppage lips placed on that same side of the base body, as well as a lower body having one or multiple parts formed on the side opposite to the sealing body for anchoring in an accommodating groove. The sealing profile can also be inserted either manually or mechanically in accommodating grooves wider than 6 mm without impairing the sealing effect in the corner areas since no pockets are formed during adjustment. The advantages of this glass and stoppage sealing element lie in the combined effect achieved by several characteristics disclosed in the invention.
