Gas turbine with sequential combustion

The two stage gas turbine has a primary chamber and primary turbine and a secondary chamber with secondary turbine. The gas flow from the first chamber is passed through a ring duct (1) which has a number of vanes (6) which streamline the gas flow before passing into a mixing chamber where the partially burnt gasses are mixed with more fuel. It also has diffuser downstream of the vanes. The ring duct has inner and outer plates (4,5) separated by spacers (8) and the control vanes (6). The ring duct is cooled by a controlled gas flow and ensures that the second chamber receives an even mix of gasses and fuel.
