The neutral electrode (13) is positioned at a distance apart from the active electrode (9) of the endoscopic instrument (5), and is enclosed by a closed cage (22) which has passages which widen out in an operating position. The proximal opening of the cage is fixed to a distal opening in a tubular shaft (21,6) protruding from the human body. The tubular shaft surrounds the neutral electrode's line (13) protruding out of the body. The cage consists of interwoven flexurally elastic fibres (23) slanting in relation to the cage's axis. The fibres are joined at their intersections. |
