Disclosed is a home automation system having a function of user control definition. The system comprises an image display processor, a controller and an interface. The image display processor includes a font memory and a video memory. The image memory supplies an image signal according to font data from the font memory. The controller supplies character codes according to use's input data, and transmits a calling code and a control code to a PLC module via the interface. Thereby, user is able to define each control status as a graphic user interface.
