PURPOSE: To provide a system and a method for converting the data table of a free system into a chart and a graph without the aid of user for defining the format or the characteristic of the table. CONSTITUTION: A series of master caricatures showing the type of a main table layout are stored and a display are decided in a candidate table is identified (3.1). The display area is analyzed (3.2-3.3), the display area is compared with a series of master caricatures and which is the master caricature having the highest correlation score against the candidate table is recognized (3.4-3.5). Table data of the free system, which is contained in the candidate table, is processed in accordance with the format of the master caricature. |
