A milking plant for milking cows, which plant comprises teat cups (2) that are connectable to the respective teats of cow's udder. The plant furthermore comprises an electronic pulsator system (42) by means of which an adjustable suction-rest ratio is applied in the teat cups (27). The suction-rest ratio can be set by a computer (22) in dependence on the milk flow. The milk flow is detected by means of a milk flow sensor.
