<p>A transmission for a powered window of a car has endless chain 12 running on a motor-driven sprocket and on sprocket 18 connectable to rotate a window handle shaft. Sprocket casings 32 have a central hole with a rim surface which supports an external surface of a sprocket shoulder for sprocket rotation. A lip extends radially inwards from the rim surface to resist axial thrust on the sprocket (Figures 8 and 9, not shown). Chain runs between the sprocket casings are enclosed in flexible tubes which are spring biased by tube-length-regulating devices 81 to accommodate chain stretch. The casings are each fixable to a car door by a slotted bracket (Figures 10 - 12, not shown) providing stepless adjustable fixing.</p> |
