Prodn. of pictures on the surfaces of floor coverings made of stone or ceramic material, includes covering the surface with a light sensitive layer, after which the surface is exposed and developed, and the surface structure is then changed in the non-covered areas by chemically handling the areas in question. The total light sensitive mixt. is removed after treatment. The mixt. is pref. UV sensitive. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is used to produce floor covering pictures. The covering is slip resistant, wear resistant, and solvent resistant. The process is simple and reliable.
