A link (1) for a pegless clothes line is moulded from resilient plastics material and has a stud formation (5) at one end (2) and a recess (19) for receiving a neck (6) of the stud formation of the adjacent link, at the other end (4). A diamond-shaped aperture (17) opens at one end into an entrance (18) to the recess, and at the other end into an undulating pinch slot (10) of V-shaped crosssection. Clothes to be dried have their corners poked through the apertures and are then slid sideways along the pinch slots which hold them in position. Oblique bars (13) enhance the resilience of the sides of the pinch slot.
