The invention concerns a coupling design between pressure rolls, especially pressure rolls 11, 12 in a longitudinal nip. The upper bearing housing 13 of the upper roll 11 of the pressure nip N and the lower bearing housing 14 of the lower roll 12 of the pressure nip N are connected in the coupling design to each other by connection rods 15. Each connection rod 15 in the coupling design is releasably connected to the lower bearing housing 14 and passed via a space in the passage hole 18 or the like through the upper bearing housing 13.
