CIRCUIT ARRANGEMENT WITH REFERENCE ELECTRODE AND METAL ELECTRODES FOR MEASURING POLARIZING POTENTIAL OF BURIED METAL EQUIPMENT

A multisensor (4) having metal electrodes and a reference electrode are put into ground. Using a connecting cable, all the electrodes as well as a buried metal device are connected to a measuring instrument (3). After prepolarization by a prepolarization metal electrode (9), IR voltage gradients of an external metal electrode (5) and internal metal electrode (6) are successively measured by pairs of external (5), internal (6) metal electrodes and independent (7), multisensor (4) middle (8) electrodes. The obtained values are then stored in the measuring instrument (3) memory. Using the reference electrode, switching potential is also measured. Subsequently polarization potential the a buried metal device (1) is calculated from the values measured.
