PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of wind resisting function and of ventilating performance in a normal operation with respect to an exterior ventilating opening hood designed to prevent the wind effect on the ventilating performance by opening and closing air pressure-operated damper blades. CONSTITUTION:An exterior ventilating opening hood is provided with a pair of damper blades 5a and 5b which are pivotally mounted to the rear side of a hood frame 1 by their respective vertical supports 8a and 8b to enable them to turn in the nearly horizontal directions and which, in a windless normal condition, are retained in a neutral position by a predetermined force applied thereto. When the wind is blown into the hood frame from either of left and right ventilating openings 3a and 3b, one ventilating opening on the windward side is turned in the direction of the arrow X by the wind pressure to thereby close a ventilating passage on this side and the other on the downwind side is likewise turned to form a ventilating passage along the damper blade on this side. As a result, the aforesaid arrangement can prevent the admission of wind into the ventilating passage or lowering of the ventilating performance caused by the wind pressure and can afford a satisfactory ventilating performance in a normal operation. |
