What is described is an apparatus for needling a nonwoven 1, with at least one needle board 3 capable of being driven back and forth in the pricking direction and with a stitch base 4 located opposite the needle board 3 and forming a nonwoven guide which is convex in the nonwoven run-through direction 8. In order to afford advantageous needling conditions, it is proposed that the stitch base 4 have two portions 9, 10 which succeed one another in the nonwoven run-through direction 8 and of which the inflow-side portion 9 is designed as a perforated plate, whilst the outflow-side portion 10 consists of lamellae 11 which run transversely to the nonwoven run-through direction 8 and are delimited vertically by a continuously curved enveloping surface and between which in each case at least two rows of needles running transversely to the nonwoven run-through direction 8 engage. <IMAGE> |
