<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for production capable of inexpensively producing the color filters themselves by eliminating the need for a costly photomask and utilizing the light shielding layer itself as a mask at the time of production of the color filters. SOLUTION: The patterns of a first color among three colors R, G, B are processed by laser etching on the light shielding layer 2 formed on a transparent substrate 1 and the processed surfaces are coated and deposited with color resins 21 of this color. Next, the patterns 12 of the second color are processed by laser etching on the light shielding layer 2 and the layers of the color resists 22 of the second colors are formed on the processed surfaces. The exposure of the color resists is executed from the rear side with the light shielding layer itself as a mask and the resists are developed. A stage similar to the case of the second color is repeated with the patterns 13 of the third color as well.</p> |
